EMPLOYED TO SERVE

Heavy metal isn’t just a sound, it’s a calling. And few bands embody that fire like Employed To Serve.
Fresh from tearing up arenas with Gojira, the UK heavyweights bring their unstoppable energy to Shipley for an intimate, full-force show in support of their new album Fallen Star.

Led by vocalist Justine Jones and guitarist/co-vocalist Sammy Urwin, Employed To Serve fuse the ferocity of hardcore with the grandeur of classic metal, think Iron Maiden and Metallica reimagined through the lens of modern chaos. Their message is simple: unity, resilience, and power through music.

Expect towering riffs, anthemic choruses, and the kind of raw, communal energy that reminds you why heavy music matters. From festival mainstages to sweat-drenched clubs, they’ve built a reputation as one of Britain’s most vital live bands and this show will prove exactly why. “We’re lifers. This is who we are.” – Employed To Serve

CAGE FIGHT

London’s Cage Fight open the night with a ferocious set drawn from their critically acclaimed new record Exuvia an album that marks rebirth, resilience and evolution.

Fronted by Rachel Aspe, the band unleash a perfect storm of old-school hardcore attitude and modern metal bite. With guitarist James Monteith (TesseracT) leading the charge, their sound hits like a sledgehammer — thick grooves, blistering riffs, and unrelenting energy.

But beneath the aggression lies raw emotion. Exuvia channels personal trauma and healing into pure catharsis, from the visceral I Hate Your Guts to the crushing, melodic sweep of Élégie. It’s the sound of a band levelling up, shedding old skin and emerging sharper, heavier, and more fearless than ever.

“It feels like a rebirth of the band.” – Cage Fight
