In a first for The Triangle, Kadonnut Manner brings Finnish Primitive Guitar from close to the Arctic Circle, all the way to Shipley.
With a fingerpicked solo steel string acoustic guitar style, he’ll be playing music from Oulu, Finland – both his own inventions and ‘stuff stolen from ones who came before’.
Manner, whose stage name translates as ‘the lost continent’ was bassist, vocalist and songwriter in a number of Finnish punk and rock bands before switching to the acoustic country blues style, drawing on influences such as Mississippi John Hurt, John Fahey Finnish folk music. A unique experience!
Kadonnut Manner will be supported by local lo-fi folk musician Andrew Metheven, who launches his debut EP, ‘A Quiet Life’, at the Triangle on Saturday 19 March.
