Freeze Distilled Barrel Aged Stout, non-adjuncts.
The new Moersleutel barcode is finally here, now as Turquoise Orange! Starting with a 5-grain stout base that’s been freeze distilled and then aged in a unique combo of two exceptional barrels: Girvan North British Grain and Heaven Hill Bourbon. Go ahead, read that again…
The base beer has been freeze distilled—meaning it’s been frozen to separate the water, resulting in a liquor-like beer with a higher ABV. Get ready for a bold boozy kick that demands your attention.
The Scotch barrels allow a bit more oxygen through the wood, softening those smoky edges and bringing out a smooth, rounded character. Meanwhile, the Heaven Hill Bourbon barrels add that classic sweet touch, with notes of caramel and oak.
The result?
A complex, non-adjunct brew worthy of the Barcode name—layered with deep flavors of licorice, vanilla, wood, and bourbon. Oh, and it clocks in at a solid 15% ABV.
