Our seventh and final Patrons Project release with Smug is The Church of SmugLife, a 7.4% DDH IPA made in collaboration with Brooklyn’s Other Half. 

Using Nelson Sauvin, Idaho 7, Citra, and Mosaic hops meaning this beer is packed with tropical fruit tastes and aromas, with pineapple, papaya, mango, peach, grape and citrus. 

7.4% ABV // 10 EBC // 25 IBU // 1.079 OG // 440ML

INGREDIENTS: Malted BARLEY (GLUTEN), WHEAT (GLUTEN), OATS (GLUTEN), Hops, Yeast

And here we are, the seventh, and final beer, in Smug's Patrons Project series, one of our most iconic and popular collaborations we've ever done. This is The Church of SmugLife.

Over to our co-founder Russ: "Growing up in the street art and graffiti scene of the North, then living in Bristol - one of the street capitals of the world - for a little while, we had dreams of working with artists like SMUG. We knew he originally hailed from Oz but after finding out he had spent most of the last 20 years in Glasgow, he went straight to the top of our Patrons Projects bucket list.

"Roll on into 2019, and after working with the likes of TankPetrol, Nomad Clan, LeiMai and INSA we got connected with SMUG. It felt like an outside chance but a good word from INSA sealed the deal (thanks INSA for the glowing reference).

"Here we are. 9 years of Monk. 7 SMUG beers. The end of one of our most iconic Patrons series."

If it ain't broken, don't fix it. When deciding on the ultimate collaborator to round out one of our favourite series we called in our friends with whom our partnership seemed to truly create a midas touch. Brooklyn's own Other Half. The result is this 7.4% DDH IPA. Familiar territory.
